i CITB Test Information

To get a CSCS Card you must complete a CITB Health, Safety and Environment test. The test takes 45 minutes. It is a multiple choice test with 50 questions. You must get 45 out of 50 to pass. The CITB test can be taken at over 150 test centres nationwide. 

Brief directions

Situated about 20 minutes walk from the main bus station in Hanley, or bus number 18 will bring you close to the test centre. Town Road can be accessed by car from Potteries Way. Whittle Court is about 200 metres along Town Road going out of Hanley town centre towards Smallthorne. The entrance to Whittle Court is beside Bennett House (the Immigration Appellate Authority). What to Expect in the Test
The day of the exam is straightforward. Simply arrive with a valid ID, have your photo taken for security purposes, and take the test. You will have 45 minutes to answer 50 multiple-choice questions. Upon completion, you will get your achievement certificate that details your test results.
In the event that you fail your first try, you can enrol to retake the exam in three days. It is strongly advised that you buy revision materials to help you prepare for the next test.

What to Take With You
You need a valid ID in order to take the CITB test. If you don’t have a valid ID, you will not be allowed to take the test (no exceptions). Accepted forms of ID are as follows:

If you don’t have proper identification, you’ll need to present two other documents that prove your identity. These include but aren’t limited to:
