The CSCS card is a way to verify that people working on construction sites have the appropriate knowledge and training. This helps prevent on-the-job mishaps that endanger everyone's health and safety. You obtain a CSCS card by taking the CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test. There are 150 CITB test centres nationwide including in Andover.
What to Expect in the Test
When you arrive to take the CITB test, the on-site staff is required to first check your ID and confirm that you have arranged to take the exam at that time. As per safety guidelines, the staff will take your photo before you can enter to take the exam.
The test itself lasts 45 minutes and is made up of 50 multiple-choice questions. Once completed, you will get a certificate of achievement that details your test results.
If you happen to fail, you can always register to retake the exam three days after the date of the first exam. A failing score is an indication that you require additional material to help you prepare. You may buy revision materials designed solely for the CITB exam at
