The CSCS card is a way to verify that people working on construction sites have the appropriate knowledge and training. This helps prevent on-the-job mishaps that endanger everyone's health and safety. You obtain a CSCS card by taking the CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test which allows you to apply for a CSCS Card once completed. There are 150 CITB test centres nationwide including in Tongue.
What to Expect in the Test
Upon arrival on test day, you will be asked to show the staff a valid ID. You will then be confirmed that you’re scheduled to take the CITB exam, followed by getting your picture taken for security purposes.
The exam is 45 minutes and consists of 50 multiple-choice questions. Once completed, you’ll get your certificate of achievement, which shows your test results.
If you don’t pass the first time, you can always register to take the exam again in three days. You should also invest in review materials to help you get ready for your retake.
