NVQ Overview

The Level 2 NVQ in Plant Operations – Transporting Loads (Dumper Operator) is designed to assess workplace competence in operating plant machinery used to transport loads in construction. Candidates must demonstrate their skills, knowledge, and experience in preparing and operating forward and rear tipping dumpers, self-propelled bowsers, tractors, trailer-mounted concrete pumps, and volumetric trucks to receive, transport, and discharge materials. It also covers the operation of static concrete placing booms and tractors with towed equipment for non-agricultural activities.

  • As a minimum, you will need a copy of your photo ID.

  • This can be completed in 4 weeks as long as you are prepared to work with your assessor and gather the correct evidence.
  • Once completed you will receive your NVQ diploma which is approved by CITB.
