About the CSCS Red Industry Placement Card:
- The card shows that you are on an approved training pathway into construction, and it lets you go on site while you complete your qualification.
- To get an Industry Placement Card, you must be registered on a qualifying training programme that requires at least 30 days of work placement, and prove that you are on that course.
- You must also have passed the Health, Safety and Environment Test (usually the CITB Operative Test) within the last two years.
- This card is valid for three years and cannot be renewed.
It does not automatically turn into a full skilled CSCS card when it expires — you’ll need to apply for the correct long-term card once you complete or progress in your qualification.
