i CITB Test Information

To get a CSCS Card you must complete a CITB Health, Safety and Environment test. The test takes 45 minutes. It is a multiple choice test with 50 questions. You must get 45 out of 50 to pass. The CITB test can be taken at over 150 test centres nationwide.

This helps prevent on-the-job mishaps that endanger everyone's health and safety. You obtain a CSCS card by taking the CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test. There are 150 CITB test centres nationwide including in Dundee.

What to Expect in the Test
When you arrive on test day, the staff will ask to check your ID and verify that you are scheduled to test at that time. You will then need to sit for a quick photo for security purposes. Once testing starts, you will have 45 minutes to complete 50 multiple-choice questions. When finished, you will get your results certification.
What to TakeWith You
The most important thing you can take with you to your CITB test is a valid ID. If you don’t have one, you can’t take your test. The most common forms of valid ID are a UK driving license or a passport. 
If you don’t have either, you will need to bring two alternative forms of ID with you on test day. These include your British Armed Forces card, EU Country ID card, a Trade Union card, a recent bank statement, debit or credit card, or a National Insurance card.

How to Pass Your CITB Test
There are no tricks that you can employ to pass your CITB test. However, from our years of experience, there are certain things you can do that will give you the greatest chance of passing first time.
Revise using high-quality revision materials. The main reason people fail their CITB test is that they fail to prepare properly for it. Considering how beneficial it can be to your career to obtain a CSCS card, it’s important to put in work beforehand to prepare yourself.
Answer every question. You have 50 multiple choice questions to answer in each test. To make sure you do all you can to achieve the pass score of 45 out of 50, you need to answer every single question. Missing 1 question out can be the difference between passing and failing.
