Having poorly trained, unqualified people on construction sites endangers everyone’s health and safety. To avoid this, most construction companies require anyone working on one of their sites to have a valid CSCS card. The CSCS card is obtained by taking the CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test. There are over 150 CITB test centres nationwide including in Aldershot.
What to Expect in the Test In Aldershot
Taking the test is a very straightforward affair. Simply show your ID upon arriving at the test site. Once you are confirmed, the staff will take a photo of you for security purposes. The test will consist of 50 multiple choice questions that you will be given 45 minutes to answer.
What to Take With You
The only thing you need is a valid form of personal identification. If you do not present one you will not be allowed to take the test. Valid IDs include a UK driving license with photo and signature, or a UK passport with the same.
In the absence of either, you must produce 2 alternative forms of ID. These may include a Trade Union card, an EU Country ID, a British Armed Forces card, a credit card, a debit card, or a recent bank statement. None can be more than 6 months out of date. For a full list
