The Welding CSCS Card (or the Blue Card) is an accreditation that proves a professional has met the standards of the UK’s Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS).
It shows employers, clients, and other professionals in the industry that you have the necessary skills to work safely and competently on welding-related construction sites.

At Construction Certification, we make it easy for welders to get their CSCS Cards. If you’re a welder looking for your blue card, the process is simple.
First, you’ll need to take the CSCS Health and Safety Test. This consists of a 45-minute multiple-choice exam that tests your knowledge on safety regulations specific to construction work in the UK.
The next step is to get a recognised qualification in welding from our approved training providers. This will usually take the form of a City and Guilds diploma, an NVQ in welding or Fabricating & Welding Engineering, or an HNC/HND in Welding Science.
Once you have your qualification, you can apply for your blue card online through our website.
