The CITB supervisor test forms part of the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test programme. It is sometimes referred to as the CITB supervisor health and safety test or the CITB supervisor touchscreen test, as it is completed on a touchscreen computer at an approved test centre.
Which test do supervisors need?
Most site supervisors applying for the CSCS Gold Supervisor card must pass the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Specialist Supervisors test. This is also known as the CITB site supervisor test. You must pass the CITB supervisor test before applying for the CSCS Gold Supervisor card. The test must have been passed within the last two years at the time of application.
CITB supervisor test format and pass mark
The CITB supervisor test is a touchscreen, multiple-choice test taken at an approved UK test centre. It lasts around 45 minutes and contains 50 questions. To pass, you must score 45 out of 50.
Preparing for the CITB supervisor test
Revision is recommended before taking the CITB supervisor test. Reviewing supervisor-level health and safety topics and practising sample questions can help improve your chances of passing first time.
