About CSCS Supervisory Card

A CSCS Supervisory Card certifying your qualifications as a Supervisor will make you eligible for consideration for roles on virtually any jobsite in the UK, whether major or minor. A Supervisory CSCS Card is recognised across the nation by both public and private construction sites. The CSCS Gold Supervisory Card, sometimes referred to as the CSCS Gold Card, should not be confused with the Gold Advanced Craft Card. The Card has a validity period of 5 years.

How to obtain a Supervisory CSCS Card

You will need at least two mandatory qualifications in order to apply for a CSCS Card. Firstly, you must have one of CSCS’ approved qualifications, such as an NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Supervision. This may be completed in college or university.

Additionally, you will need to have passed the CITB Specialist Supervisory Health, safety and environment test within the last two years. You can complete this at your local CITB- approved test centre.

Anyone applying for a CSCS Card must first complete the correct CITB Health, Safety and Environment test for their card. The CITB Specialist Supervisory Health, Safety and Environment consists of 50 multiple-choice questions. The questions will test your knowledge on basic health, safety and environmental construction topics, as well as specialist questions for supervisors.
