CITB Test Information
To get a CSCS Card you must complete a CITB Health, Safety and Environment test. The test takes 45 minutes. It is a multiple choice test with 50 questions. You must get 45 out of 50 to pass. The CITB test can be taken at over 150 test centres nationwide.

From Southend Central Railway Station turn left after exiting on to Cliff town Road, follow this road for 400 metres. Cliff town Road goes directly into Tyler’s Avenue where the Southend CITB test centre building is located, opposite Tyler's carpark
The CSCS card is a way to verify that people working on construction sites have the appropriate knowledge and training. This helps prevent on-the-job mishaps that endanger everyone's health and safety. You obtain a CSCS card by taking the CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test. What to Expect in the Test
When you arrive, the on-site staff will check your ID, confirm that you have arranged to take the exam at that time, and then take your photo as per safety guidelines. The test itself takes 45 minutes and includes 50 multiple-choice questions. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate of achievement with your test results.
If you fail, you may register to retake the test three days after the first exam. You are also encouraged to purchase revision materials to help you prepare for the retake exam. Those materials can be found at this link.

What to Take With You
The most important thing to carry with you is an acceptable form of identification. You cannot take the exam without this (no exceptions). A valid ID includes your UK driving license or passport.
If you do not have one of them, you will need to show 2 alternative forms of ID. These include EU country ID card, British Armed Forces card, Trade Union card, credit or debit cards, National Insurance cards or a recent bank statement. To see the complete list of accepted IDs, click here.
