You will not be granted a CSCS card without passing the CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) HS&E (Health, Safety & Environment) test. While workers with different roles on a construction site will need work-specific certification, everyone involved in the roadwork construction project will need to pass some level of the HS&E test. There are 3 different levels of HS&E test.
Some people think the HS&E test is easy. Not so. In order to receive HS&E certification you will need to answer 45 out of 50 multiple-choice questions correctly, which means it is in your interest to engage in revision before the test date arrives.
