Module 3 – Controlling Risks
Explains risk control strategies, including the hierarchy of risk control and residual risk.
Module 4 – Understanding Responsibilities
Discusses legal obligations, foreseeable risks, and safety management systems.
Module 5 – Understanding Hazards
Details common workplace hazards like chemicals, fire, and stress.
Module 6 – Investigating Incidents
Outlines incident investigation steps and reporting.
Module 7 – Measuring Performance
Explores performance indicators, audits, and safety improvements.
Assessment
To complete the IOSH Managing Safely® course, learners must pass both an exam and a project, with the costs included in the course fee.
Exam
The online exam consists of multiple-choice questions and takes 45 minutes. A minimum score of 36 out of 60 is required, with two attempts allowed.
Project
The project involves conducting a risk assessment and is submitted online. It is scored out of 38 points, and a minimum of 23 points is needed to pass. Drafts can be reviewed before final submission.
