A Demolition CSCS Card, more commonly known as a CCDO Card, is essential for all those involved in the demolition industry in the United Kingdom today. Developed by the Construction Skills Certification Scheme, it is intended to reduce accidents and injuries across all types of demolition work by ensuring that all personnel have the necessary experience and qualifications. The different types of CSCS cards for the Demolition industry:

- Red – Red cards are for trainees/apprentices

- Green – Green cards are for general personnel and may be applied for by unskilled Labourers who have obtained a suitable health and safety qualification, such as an RQF Level 1, SCQF Level 4/5 or NOCN certificate.

- Blue – You can apply for a Blue Demolition CSCS Card / CCDO Card if you are a skilled Labourer with an NVQ/SVQ Level 2 qualification in a relevant field.

- Gold – Gold cards are designed for those in supervisory demolition positions. In order to apply for one of these, you should already have relevant NVQ/SVQ Level 4 supervisory/technical qualifications or a Level 3 Occupation Work Supervision certificate.

- Black – Holders of degrees or HNC/HND qualifications may be eligible to apply for a Black Demolition CSCS Card / CCDO Card. Black cards are intended for demolition managers with plenty of experience.

Demolition CSCS Card Application Procedure

Whether you are applying for your first card or you wish to renew an existing CSCS Card / CCDO Card, the procedure is the same.
