Which CITB Test Should You Take?
Whatever CSCS Card you are looking to hold, you will always have to pass the CITB Health, Safety, and Environment Test.
If you are trying to work out which of the 3 levels of CITB Test to book at our Swindon Test Centre, you will find the following very useful.

The Operatives Test
The Operatives Test is the most basic of the 3 CITB Tests.
It is the right test for you if you are trying to obtain a CSCS Green Card (Labourer) or a CSCS Red Card (Provisional)
Despite this test being the most basic, it should not be thought of as an easy test. It is a challenging test that requires preparation and revision in order to pass.
You will need a basic knowledge of your job role and you should understand all of the basic Health and Safety implications of your actions while working on a construction site.

The Specialist Test
The Specialist Test is the second level of CITB Test and expects a deeper understanding of Health and Safety on construction sites.
This test is aimed at workers who have special skills such as Pipe Fitters and Engineers.
If you are trying to get a Blue Card as a Skilled Worker, a Red Card as a Trainee, Apprentice, or Experienced worker, or a Gold Card for supervisory work - the Specialist Test will be the one you need to take.

The Managers and Professionals Test
The Managers and Professionals Test is the highest level of CITB Test.
It expects a deep understanding of construction site Health and Safety and goes into much more detail about the types of information covered in the other 2 tests.
This is the test for senior position holders who want to hold a Red Card (Technical, Supervisor, Manager), White Card for Academics and Professionals, or Black Card for Managers.

Preparing For Your CITB Test
Whichever level of CITB Test you are taking, you should use high-quality revision materials to make sure you have a good level of understanding about the topics likely to be covered in your test.
