The CSCS card is a way to verify that people working on construction sites have the appropriate knowledge and training. This helps prevent on-the-job mishaps that endanger everyone's health and safety. You obtain a CSCS card by taking the CSCS Health, Safety & Environment Test. There are 150 CSCS test centres nationwide including in Doncaster.
What to Expect in the Test
Upon arrival, the staff will check your ID and verify that you are scheduled for testing at that time. Then, a photo of you will be taken for security purposes. The test itself is a multiple-choice test of 50 questions and takes 45 minutes. When you finish, you will receive your results certificate
What to Take With You
You must have a valid ID in order to take your CSCS test. Without it, you won’t be allowed to test (no exceptions). Valid IDs are either your UK driving license or your passport.
If you don’t have either of these forms, you must bring two alternate forms of identification to your test. Acceptable secondary forms of ID include a British Armed Forced card, recent bank statement, National Insurance card, EU Country ID, or a Trade Union card.
