The CSCS card is a way to verify that people working on construction sites have the appropriate knowledge and training. This helps prevent on-the-job mishaps that endanger everyone's health and safety. You obtain a CSCS card by taking the CSCS Health, Safety & Environment Test. There are 150 CSCS test centres nationwide including in Derby.
What to Expect in the Test
When you arrive for your CSCS test in Derby, the staff will need to check your ID and verify that you are on the schedule to take the test. A photo of you will then need to be taken for security purposes. The test itself consists of 50 multiple-choice questions and takes 45 minutes. Upon completion, you will receive your test results certificate.
What to Take With You
Please bring a valid ID with you on test day. Without it, you can’t take your CSCS test. Valid forms of identification are your UK driving license or passport.
If you don’t have either form of identification, you may present two alternate forms instead. These include a Trade Union card, a British Armed Forces card, EU Country ID card, recent bank statement, National Insurance card, or your credit or debit card.
