The CSCS card is a way to verify that people working on construction sites have the appropriate knowledge and training. This helps prevent on-the-job mishaps that endanger everyone's health and safety. You obtain a CSCS card by taking the CSCS Health, Safety & Environment Test. There are 150 CSCS test centres nationwide including in Coventry.

The CSCS Card prevents unqualified individuals from working on UK construction sites. If you hope to have a career in construction today you will not get far without a CSCS Card. To obtain one you must pass the CITB Health, Safety and Awareness test.
What to Expect in the Test
You must be on time or you will be turned away. You must also produce an acceptable form of identification and then sit for a security photo. Once the test starts you will have 45 minutes to answer the 50 multiple-choice questions.
What to Take With You
The only thing you must have with you is an approved form of ID. A UK passport or UK driving license with photo and signature are preferred.
If you have neither you can still sit for the test if you can produce 2 alternative forms of ID. Acceptable alternatives include a British Armed Forces Card, a credit or debit card, or a bank statement. You can find a full list of alternate IDs by clicking here
